Princess Anne - a stern daughter of Queen Elisabeth II

Anne, Princess Royal, Prince Charles' sister was born on 15 August 1950. Her Sun Sign is Leo.

Sun 22’ Leo
Moon 14’ Virgo
Mercury 18’ Virgo
Venus 28’ Crab
Mars 30’ Libra
Jupiter 3’ Pisces
Saturn 18’ Virgo
Uranus 7’ Crab
Neptune 15’ Libra
Pluto 17’ Leo

This is the lone Royal, the most dedicated, the most behind the scenes, working dutifully (Jupiter in Pisces) but not with some strong and interesting character traits (II quarter planets and Sun)

Jupiter, as a stand-alone planet in her natal chart, marks her role, and she fits in perfectly. She has the royal dignity of Sun in Leo, and a dedication to focused effort and hard work - Moon, Mercury, Saturn in Virgo. She can keep her emotions tight, much in self-control, having authority over her own mind, and getting things done. This is a no-nonsense woman, with a caring attitude (Venus in Crab) and a very strong sense of justice (Mars in Libra/Scorpio).

Of course, there must be an edge - Crab and Libra/Scorpio are emotional, this is often revealed by sharp wit, a bit (or a lot) of mockery attitude, being sarcastic, tart and snappy, especially towards peers.

Proud, honourable, strong and loyal royal, a beloved 'son' of her father. She was the favourite of Prince Philip, she was like a son to him - her Sun is at the position of his Moon. Their Saturn positions are very similar, in Virgo, and her Moon is where his Jupiter is. Also her Venus is in Crab where Prince Philip has Mercury - a snappy tongue in his instance, a cold yet caring attitude in her making.

Sun - Persona
Sun 22’ Leo
Conjunct Pluto

Sun is our overall external personality which we usually take from a father figure in our formative years. To some extent it shows our father's personality (or rather how we perceive it). It shows our vitality, areas of life-interest and how we approach life in general.  It has the most important influence on all the other planets.

There is always a natural pride and dignity in all born under the Leo sign. In her chart it pinpoints courage, self-command and fortitude. There is less of a vivacious and amusing part, she rather is playing hard (Pluto conjunction). Anyway, life is a stage for her, as for every Leo. Can be a bit arbitrary and autocratic, bossy and saucy.

Goodwill, general benevolence, nobility are from the Sun's central position, between other planets (so called mid-point) and it makes her very aware of her position and her talents.

Willpower is her driving force. She is a product of her own creation. And she does like this level of attention and admiration as she gets. Daring, dashing, having a high opinion of herself and self-opinionated in her own ways.

Moon - Soul
Moon 14’ Virgo
Conjunct Mercury, Saturn.

Moon is our internal personality. Moon is connected to what we have learned from our Mother in the very early age of our childhood. Thus it is directly responsible for our programmed instinctive behaviour, care, nurture and support we need and give away, and level of intuition. It shows - to some extent - our mother's character (or how we have perceived it), how and when we feel most safe and secure, and in what areas lies our innate sense of belonging.

Pragmatic, practical, realistic. Down to earth, Likes tangible results and clear procedures to follow. Strong common sense. Concerned with efficiency, practicality and economy. Prefers can-do attitude over grandiose gestures.

Irritable and fussy at times, discontent with less then perfect environment, moaning about others inabilities. A steady flow of productive routines is what makes her tick.  May feel robotic and cold, and tart criticism is used when confronted and is usually well pointed.

Her mother was busy with everyday life duties, her sense of servitude and practicality, and we can find these qualities in Princess Anne. Workaholic tendencies and working behind the scenes.

Liking of animals, and they help to have some positive emotional expressions.  Frequent changes in jobs or job conditions but daily rituals and following them is crucial.

Mercury - Intellect
Mercury 18’ Virgo
Conjunct Moon, Saturn.

Mercury is how our mind works and its influence is most pronounced in our late childhood years - when we start to learn and recognize things. We are surrounded by many people but most of all we are interested in our peer group or siblings. We learn from them, we are interested how the 'dynamics' of this larger community works and how we can communicate with it. Thus, Mercury shows - the early age environment, ability to learn, areas of interests, and communication skills.

A sceptical mind, busy, sometimes blunt. Clever, critical and cynical. Factual and logical. Task-oriented. Her mental abilities work best when there is something tangible to focus on. Doesn't value learning for learning sake, but for the use and application. Quite sharp and sour sense of humour.

Likes to be of service, especially in the mental domain, as an advisor. Concerned with duty, health or service. Keeping up-to-date and adapting quickly. Attentive at how to deliver work in a perfect manner. Will never abandon a project or fail due to pressure. Possible stress and mental exhaustion if too much demand she is pressing on herself.

Venus - Heart
Venus 28’ Crab
Conjunct MC. Square Mars, Ascendant.

Venus is the planet of love and attraction - in broad terms - what we love, how we love, and who we love. We are quite early aware of what we are appreciative of - in things and people. It tells us about the early teenage years when we were growing up to learn about love for the first time - and how this carries out on through our life. It tells what we value in love relationships.

Venus in Crab is caring, and sympathetic, protective, providing and nurturing. Has strong family values, strong bond with mother, and with history and the past. There is a slight sense of nostalgia, cherishing the past.

Venus in Crab likes to entertain people at home. It is also about gaining financially from family and domestic affairs, homeland, and patriotic feelings.

Decor and interior design, strong connection to the land. are important Likely to live in the countryside. Should have a sense of nature in the immediate environment. Home is the balancing point in life. Likely to be creative, artistic and this aesthetic sense is usually evident in home décor.

Popular and well-liked by family members. Selective and careful in other relationships. Takes love very seriously, there is a lot of dedication. However, can be possessive, exhaustive and overprotective.

Mars - Will
Mars 30’ Libra/Scorpio
Conjunct Ascendant. Square MC

We meet Mars energy in our late teen years - when we learn to be confident in our behaviour and participate in life through in action. Mars describes how we act and behave while facing the life challenges and everyday situations.

Cooperative and competitive at the same time. Certainly interactive, enterprising, sociable. Fair-play game and sporting attitude. Very strong sense of right and wrong. Low sense of fashion.

Partner gives a lot of energy and drive. The couple can be engaged together in some activities. Doing physical things, a bit on the military side. Love, at first sight, is quite a common phenomenon. Mars in Libra often detects a possibility of experiencing a divorce. Clashes of temperament may occur in marriage, close partnership. Partners can have a competitive and eruptive nature. Some military background. Somehow connected with uniform: an officer, a soldier, a policeman, a firefighter, an athlete or a surgeon.

Jupiter - Role
Jupiter 3’ Pisces
opposition to Sun, Moon, Mercury, Saturn

Jupiter is a planet of our growth, expansion, encouragement, allies. In the young years we are inspired by a particular set of values or roles we imagine to play in life. When we reach maturity - the Jupiter years - we should be able to play this role - it is part of our natural calling.

Pisces are all about dedication even devotion, about faith, altruism, philanthropy and charity. Jupiter in this region of the sky gives an opportunity to find a true vocation.

The opposition here plays out more as a connector to the personal planets rather than an obstacle, as it is of benevolent and generous character. There is a need to be of a noble and selfless help to others, to lead by an example, but quietly, behind the scenes.

Benefits from unseen sources. Invisible protection. Able to attract luck and rich life experiences. Helping those in need boosts her own morale. Enriching the lives of those around.

It also reminds of a need for periodic seclusion.

Saturn - Lore
Saturn 18’ Virgo
Conjunct Moon, Mercury

Saturn is a planet of Destiny.  The primal 'Lore' is what we are born with,. This is where we start our life: in what background we grow up (hardly we can choose it), and what is the main task 'to master ' in our existence.  The second 'Lore' is what we are becoming in our old age, and the 'Lore' we are eventually leave behind.  Saturn has to be always carefully considered with the Sun and Moon Sign and its aspects.

There is always a sense of some austerity or constraint, restrain with Saturn in Virgo. This in itself is not a bad thing. We need limits and limitations. Here, such knowledge is well put into practice.

It may give some hardness and harshness to the character or life circumstances, but in a good sense. Yet, as Saturn in Virgo feels quite at home, it may at times turn into a bizarre creature of freakish nature. Can come up with some preposterous ideas, can be intrusive, fiddly, a bit annoying to others - but in a funny way.

Anyway, there is a serious business acumen and due sacrifice towards duties, obligations, and tasks. Hierarchic work environment. Public service. Serious moral attitude to life. Serving a proper cause. Servants in a household. Melancholic attitude. Inclination to austerity. Living a simple life.

Should pay attention to a regular, healthy diet.

Uran - Neptune - Pluto
Generational Planets

Generational planets give us a social and historical background. They stay in one Zodiac Sign for several years, shaping the views, opinions and general vibe of a generation. They have less personal influence but if they are engaged in primary aspects, they have an impact on our psyche.

Uranus 7’ Crab, Neptune 15’ Libra, Pluto 17’ Leo

A series of comments from a documentary about Princess Anne, and other press releases:

Princess Anne is known for her hair (as most Lions), love for the horses ('If it doesn't fart or eat hay, she's not interested'), austere personal style, swearing, sour face and the truculent manner.

She doesn't suffer fools for one second. She tackles life with vigour, and has the duty gene. She would snap at somebody, and scorn photo opportunities that charities she supported had worked their socks off to manufacture.

She is the sort of woman you'd go into the jungle with.
She doesn't have an ounce of vanity in her.
She follows her instincts with aggressive openness.
She has a sense of humour and a quick wit.

Her directness may be construed as rudeness. Her shortness with the press earned her, well, a bad press. There even seemed to be a traitor in her ranks.
Her preference for country matters was contrasted unfavourably with the glitter and glamour that surrounded Princess Diana. She recycles clothes without a care in the world - she doesn't give a tuppenny f*ck.

She and her second husband, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, are contentedly 'at rest' with each other, after some rocky passages.

Anne was cast as a grumpy old thing, interested only in horseflesh - 'When I appear in public,' she has ironically observed, 'people expect me to neigh, grind my teeth, paw the ground and swish my tail, none of which is easy'.

But as the years have passed, so Anne has seemed to mellow, to have become more content, more at ease. She was the apple of her father's eye, and it has become clearer than ever that what used to be reported to be a distant, formal relationship with the Queen was nothing of the sort: the two are both fond and admiring each other.

The brave, medal-winning horsewoman. The punctilious public servant. The frugal housewife. The adept businesswoman. The stern but adoring grandmother. The serious-minded woman who rejected titles for her two children. The dog-accompanied countrywoman. And the battling woman who would not hesitate to hang, draw and quarter that referee who robbed Scotland of its glorious victory.

With a nickname like “Her Royal Rudeness,” Princess Anne doesn’t exactly have the best reputation. Known for refusing to shake hands with the public, being notoriously uptight about certain royal rules, and impatient tendencies towards photographers, the Princess Royal appears to be one of the more difficult members of the royal family.

Although she can get a bit nasty with the media and members of the public, Princess Anne is just doing her job (and doing it well). Carrying out an impressive amount of royal duties, almost 500 engagements a year - without a salary. Instead, her expenses (including her staff) are paid for by the Queen.

Princess Anne might come off as cold and unwelcoming, but it’s not always what it may seem. Despite being actively involved in the royal family, the Princess Royal is extremely private — and really good at it.

Known for her strong personality, but her “free spirit” has got her into trouble several times. The Princess Royal is the first senior royal to be convicted of a criminal offence and raked up numerous speeding fines over the years. She also allegedly had an extramarital affair and was the first of the Queen’s children to get divorced.

Her rollercoaster life was put down to her “spirit” in the 2002 documentary ‘The Real Princess Anne’.
Anne was "naughty" as a child according to a family friend. She was a tomboy really in a perfectly mischievous way. A complete contrast to her brother, who was much quieter.. She wanted to create a role for herself.
She and her father have a similar sense of humour and both have a very strong work ethic. A sense of commitment to official engagements, extremely professional, she has a huge workload, works hard behind the scenes.
Can be very sulky and ungracious, she did not have the friendly soft smile, has a quick temper.
When she was 19 she went to Germany to work as a tank driver, likes the military.
She would rather have respect than affection from the public.
Sometimes haughty but not snobbish.
She could juggle her duties with the equestrian career. she loves being around horses.
Had sporting success in the Olympic games, 1976, won a tournament, was sporting personality of the year.
She does not like to shine, preferring more military like uniform.
There was an attempt on her life, to kidnap her. Several people were shot, she was in the job the next day.
She has a completely different attitude than her brothers who are more pompous.
She is a very private pragmatist.
She had criminal records as her bullterrier attacked children in park.
She has ferocious dedication to her duties and responsibilities.
Very loyal. Her parents were very proud of her.
Pretty tough, steel, unflattering.
Her husband, Mark Philips had many affair rumours for the most part of their marriage.
She wanted a practical action man.
She basically had an affair with a servant, she never said a comment about it, she was a tight-lip about this affair, got on with her daily life, her reputation was largely intact.
