TAROT

Tarot and Oracle consultancy is a very intimate moment, and it should not be taken lightly. It requires a lot of concentration and mental power as well as appropriate knowledge and life-experience. Picking up the cards or runes simply by choosing them at hand, randomly, hardly ever does the trick. We have to state our question properly, we have to fall into a moment of mindfulness, and be prepared for the interpretation.

I have been exploring Tarot, various Oracle cards and Runes for many years, and if you are interested, here are some tips and thoughts on how the whole process can enrich the understanding of yourself and the world.

And, of course, you can book a reading session or a Tarot lesson:

RUNES

I also have a huge affinity and appreciation for the Nordic mythology and tradition. Runes have been with me from a very early age, and somehow, I understood them well on a subconscious level. People in Norway and Sweden treat them more like an old alphabet and often dismiss the use as a divinatory tool (this is not the case in Iceland, where belief in 'fairies' is quite strong), however their magical use was confirmed in many old Sagas.

Everything can be treated as a divinatory tool but the more legend it has behind - the better the associations. Runes have a great story behind - the mysterious god of the Nordic pantheon, Odin, sacrificed himself to get to the bottom of life and destiny, and the Runes were thus revealed to him.

Hung I was on the windswept tree
Nine full nights I hung
Pierced by a spear, a pledge to the god
To Odin - myself to myself
On that tree which none can know the source
From whence its root has run.

None gave me bread, none brought a horn
Then low to earth I looked
I caught up the runes, roaring I took them
And fainting, back I fell

Runes will you find, and fateful staves
Very potent staves, very powerful staves
Staves the great gods made, stained by the mighty sage
And graven by the speaker of gods

fragments of Runatal, Odin's Rune Poem

He divided them for the use among gods, men, dwarfs and giants. As humans - we got to know the runes called Futharc with initially - 18, and further - 24 runes.

To learn about runes - is to learn about life, and the mysterious forces that shape it.
