Heyoka People

Among the emphatic family of Starseeds, Indigo, Crystal and Rainbow Children (of which many are now in their senior years, and of which many are with the symptoms of ADHD and Autistic Spectrum) the term Heyoka has resurfaced.

The name originates from the Native American Dakota and Lakota languages, describing people who are in service of the tricky, satirical forces of nature, that bring about transformation. Similar qualities are present in the Northern Sagas about  Loki character.

Such people often become medicine men and women, often transgressing the given social identity, by the means that they can act as both female and male, as a child and as an adult, and everything in between. They have been seen as Sacred Clowns, laughing at seriousness, grieving when there is too much laughter.

If you find yourself at odds with society's norms, feeling an inner conflict, an opposition, a contradiction to everything you see or think, the Heyoka archetype may be present in you.

You may be seen as a trickster in your family, a black sheep, a wolf among the pack, because of your unusual, often disturbing or eccentric traits of character. When  awakened, you may be a powerful healer and facilitator, helping others to find balance, meaning and alignment with the Soul Purpose

Before awakening, you often feel highly misunderstood and harshly judged for your erratic behaviour, that usually does not mean any harm. Intrinsically, you know that you need to re-balance whatever there is in front and around you.

The main traits of Heyoka People:

Very Sensitive

When unawakened, unrecognised, unconscious - they seem very vulnerable yet rebellious. They suffer quietly in their inner world or become highly nervous and irritated by other people. They need to realise that they are extremely sensitive to the energy of others, and it is this energy that has this massive conflicting effect on their own mind-body-soul. Because it is not theirs.

Easily - and unconsciously - sensing the thoughts, emotions and intentions of those around, of places or situations, makes them often totally overwhelmed, overstimulated and even exhausted. Fatigue syndrom is quite common.

This can lead to difficulty settling down in life as they are affected by the energy of each and every member of the family and acquaintance circle. They find it hard to know what they want and need to do.

They need to realise they act as a mirror for people and situations, reflecting what  are the feelings or thought patterns floating in the air, and expressing them in a more conscious way.

Mindfulness, Self-Care and Soul Search are key practices here.

Highly Creative

Saying the above, they need to realise their unique and extraordinary way of expression. They often strive to live life in an artistic way. There is an urge to follow their own paths against all odds, and to be in the flow.  This is difficult, as many different forces mis-match their energy field.

This can lead to a troubled life, but when the soul awakens, it is a powerhouse of inspiration for others.

It is especially empowering for the Heyoka to use creative drive in a strong and regular manner. Integrating chaotic creative forces brings peace of mind and settling down.

Deeply Insightful

Seeing the bigger picture and understanding how everything works makes them prone to philosophical depression. They often find it hard to relate to others, as they understand well before others can catch on (or most often - not at all). They have a powerful reservoir of intuitive forces. This has a remarkable emotional and energetic effect on those around them.

This is why they are also easily bored with small talk, as this is often based on superficiality. They don't stand people talking for the sake of talking.

When awakened they easily detect any inauthenticity, insincerity, dishonesty, pretending because - before awakening - they have those traits within themselves and thus can not only recognise them, but make others exposed.

To embrace this gift, they need to reconnect with Higher Self, honouring their true nature. In this manner, every encounter with another human, will have a more profound, cosmic effect.

Rebellious Humour

A very strong inner sense of freedom makes them question any authority figures.
It’s not necessarily that they are a troublemakers. Rather that family and society do not know what to do with them, as they often seem to be a devil's advocate.

With a deeply rebellious sense of humour, that often borders on blasphemy and sheer mockery, many conversations may turn difficult.

Humour is a tool to take a different perspective, and again, it can be used in a powerful way, if it is fully absorbed and understood. It will help others feel good about their own hidden quirkiness.

Even Keel

The most important trait is their inner need to bring balance to every situation, even if it does mean to first bring a bit more chaos to it.  They feel the opposing forces of life in them, and have an innate wisdom and ability to bring equilibrium and more stability.

Because of this they have a hard time with everything that is off-balance or unjust. They are here to make the world more equal, fair-leveled, and even. They may come across as quite outspoken, in a fierce opposition, if there is too much injustice.
